Fishing vessels stopped
A VESSEL believed to be a Chinese patrol boat yesterday entered the territory's waters and intercepted three Hong Kong-registered fishing vessels off Waglan Island.
The speedboat was sighted by a Royal Navy vessel in the eastern section of Hong Kong waters at 6.10 pm.
About half an hour later, the boat intercepted three Hong Kong fishing vessels, about four nautical miles east of Waglan Island.
Two police launches were despatched to the scene but the vessel was seen heading northeast outside the territory's waters minutes later.
