Mixed fortunes for HK drivers at opening of Asia cup series

Hong Kong drivers Darryl O'Young and Marchy Lee Ying-kin experienced mixed fortunes in the two rounds of the season-opening Porsche Carrera Cup Asia series at the Shanghai International Circuit yesterday.

O'Young finished second in both his races for LKM Racing behind defending series champion Christian Menzel, of Germany.

Lee, in his first race for more than a year, finished third for Red Bull Racing in race one, but failed to finish race two after suffering a burst tyre.

Macau hot-shot Rodolfo Avila, of Team Jebsen, had a disastrous outing, finishing fifth before a clutch problem put paid to his hopes in the second race. The series moves to Beijing next month.
