Pay tribute?

IT was gratifying to see members of the Heung Yee Kuk paying respects, somewhat belatedly, to their ancestors who died fighting the British in the 1890s (South China Morning Post, April 18).

One hopes that we will see Mr Brian Kan and Co. at the Cenotaph next Remembrance Day, paying tribute to the British soldiers who gave their lives in the defence of the New Territories against the Japanese occupation in 1942.
