Cool movie rumour of the day: director Daniel Lam Siu-ming reportedly told local papers that he plans to invest HK$200 million in a period action film in 3D IMAX. The filmmaker confirmed he met a special effects expert, Richard Taylor - who worked on Avatar and Lord of the Rings - at Cyberport, and now he wants to apply his expertise in a mega martial arts project with not himself but the Pang brothers in the director's chair. As part of his wish list, Lam wants a heavy-hitting cast, and name-dropped a wish list of stars including Nicholas Tse Ting-fung (pictured), Aaron Kwok Fu-shing, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Korean icon Rain and Taiwanese heartthrob Jay Chou Jie-lun. We're not sure if he's planning to pick just one or all of the above for a cast. If he's thinking about a full house of studs, HK$200 million won't nearly be enough.
