A truck driver was arrested for dangerous driving after his vehicle rammed seven vehicles in Central yesterday, leaving a motorcyclist critically ill. The truck hit the other vehicles while they were stopped at a red light in Garden Road outside the United States consulate about 2.30pm. It first struck two buses and two vans before crashing into the motorcycle and catapulting the rider into the road. It then pushed a car and another truck for 30 metres. The motorcyclist was taken to Queen Mary Hospital and remains in critical condition. Police say the location is not a traffic black spot. The truck driver, who is 45, was freed on police bail until the end of May.
