Man on suitcase theft counts

A Taiwanese man appeared at Tsuen Wan Court yesterday charged with stealing suitcases from a carousel at the airport. Chiang Hsien-ming, 32, did not enter a plea. Writ seeks HK$167m payment

Hong Kong-listed hotel investor VXL Capital's chief executive Percy Archambaud-Chao has been sued by a man demanding HK$167 million in loan repayment. Alex Wong ching-ping filed a claim against Archambaud-Chao at the Court of First Instance earlier this week. He claims he lent the latter HK$40 million and that by 1996, the accrued interest was worth HK$3.5 million. Joyce Hyman
