An Indonesian domestic helper appeared at Kowloon City Court yesterday on a count of administering poison or a noxious substance thereby inflicting grievous bodily harm. Mariyatun, who like many Indonesians uses only one name, allegedly gave her employer's son a cup of liquid from a toilet bowl containing urine on April 2 at a flat in Sau Mau Ping Estate, Kwun Tong. The 26-year-old did not enter a plea and was released on bail. The case was adjourned until June 11.
