Yen gets a kick out of his wax likeness
Action star and martial artist Donnie Yen Ji-dan is the latest of the city's big names to be immortalised in wax. Yen, who can also be seen wielding his fists as Master Ip in his latest movie Ip Man 2, joined his wax counterpart for the unveiling at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
'It's an honour to have my own wax figure here at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong,' said Yen. 'I hope that Ip Man fans and Hong Kong guests will enjoy visiting the attraction and having their picture taken alongside Master Ip.'
Yen's figure as Master Ip wears a cheongsam as seen in the Ip Man movies. It will be on permanent display in the world premiere zone at the museum. A wooden dummy will stand alongside the wax figure for guests to try out martial arts for themselves.
So, as well as having your photo taken with a waxy Master Ip, you can also practise some moves of your own. Feel free to let loose. Call it anger management at Madame Tussauds.
