Prebble has the firepower to bounce back

It is very hard to beat the Jockey Challenge oddsmakers, but if you can't beat them, join them, and hammer $2.10 favourite Brett Prebble for every last cent.

The wheels fell off the Prebble bandwagon at Sha Tin last Saturday and favourite backers were left without a chance after a quartet of winners from Darren Beadman put the Challenge to bed by race six.

Prebble can bounce back to form tonight, however, and driven by his determination to put a gap on suspended equal premiership leader Douglas Whyte, has the firepower to claim the point-score challenge.

His main rivals include Howard Cheng Yue-tin ($6) and Olivier Dolueze ($6.50), but they have also been well found by the bagmen and look only outside hopes of knocking over the favourite.

Prebble starts with a winning chance in Gouf, who is a likely improver on the all-weather track for the first time from the ideal barrier three.

Supreme Commander will have his work cut out from barrier 11, but if Prebble can secure the in-form galloper a good trail into the race, he is a live chance.

Loads Of Joy, Sabina, Precision Magic and Flying China are all excellent chances for Prebble.

High Point and Happy Ambassador round out Prebble's night as the top Australian rider strives to reclaim the sole premiership lead.
