Last summer, Karrie Ma signed up for a language travel course and studied at Dauntsey's School, Britain - which singer Eason Chan Yick-shun attended.

'It was the most memorable summer I've ever had,' Karrie says.

'I stayed with five other students in a dormitory room. Some of them were from other countries. We talked a lot at night. It was a lot of fun.

'Their cultures are so different.'

Karrie says the English lessons were interesting, and the teacher assigned fun tasks.

'For example, we were asked to point out five differences between things and people in London and in our home country, then we formed groups and presented our observations.'

Karrie travelled to Oxford on the second weekend and visited the famous university campus. 'Everything is grand and gorgeous. I must study hard to get into one of these schools.'

The student exchanged phone numbers and e-mail addresses with room-mates.

'We became good friends. My English improved and I know much more about Britain now,' Karrie says.

'I would love to further my studies in London after graduating from secondary school in Hong Kong. London is full of fun.'
