In celebration of its 150th anniversary, watchmaker Chopard launches four new models housing four new calibres.

The four new mechanical movements were designed, developed and produced in-house by Chopard Manufacture and were all created for the L.U.C line, which was named after brand founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard.

The L.U.C Louis-Ulysse - The Tribute features an innovative design which allows the timepiece to be either carried as a pocket watch or worn as a wristwatch. The mechanism that allows for this transformation is inspired by a system developed in 1912 by Karl Scheufele I, the ancestor of Chopard president Karl Scheufele.

While the original system consisted of special adjustable lugs that were used to lock on to the pocket watch, the new model features a cradle system that releases and locks the pocket watch in place by a simple turn of the cradle's base.

Limited to 150 pieces, the pocket watch is equipped with the new L.U.C EHG hand-wound movement.

Housed in a 49.6mm white gold case, the movement has a power reserve of more than 80 hours. The dial features central hour and minute hands and a small seconds dial at six o'clock.
