When it comes to dial aesthetics, Chronoswiss proves less is more with the launch of the new Sirius and Pacific models at this year's BaselWorld fair.
Chronoswiss has a long history of elegant watches, and the brand continues that tradition with this year's novelties featuring clean, classic dials.
Named after the brightest star in the night sky, the new Sirius model has a sterling silver dial painted either black or white, featuring a small seconds dial at six o'clock and hand-finished feuille shaped hands. The flat 40mm case with polished bezel comes in stainless steel or rose gold, and houses the manual winding Calibre C.111 movement exclusive to Chronoswiss.
The second model is the Sirius Triple Date. It houses an automatic Calibre C.931 movement. Two display windows at 12 o'clock show the day and month, while a date dial encircles the moon phase at six o'clock. The model is available in a stainless steel or rose gold case.
The new Pacific models launched this year are a refreshing take on the Pacific line from the 1990s, and the sporty novelties target younger consumers.
The Pacific and Grand Pacific models feature classic sweeping three-hand dials and a date window at six o'clock. The painted metal dials come in either brown, white or black versions, with rhodium-plated applied markers and numerals. Both models house the ETA 2892-A2 movement, but the Pacific comes in a 40mm case while the Grand Pacific has a bolder 43mm case.
