You've been begging. You've been pleading. And we heard you.

Yes! Young Post is going to be holding its creative writing competition this summer. So whip out the pencils, er pens - no, wait, keyboards - and send us your best work. We've got HK$3,000 worth of book vouchers from Dymocks up for grabs - imagine having that to bump up your library for the holidays.

Here's what you need to do:

Send us a fictional essay of between 1,500 and 2,000 words by June 15. The theme of this year's summer creative writing competition is: Unbelievable Summer. Your story must have a Hong Kong theme. E-mail it to with 'Super Summer' in the subject field. Include your name, age, school, phone number and a JPEG head shot of yourself (in case you win and we publish your work).

Eight finalists and the grand winner will be published over the summer holidays with special illustrations by our talented artists to go with their masterpieces. Each finalist will also get a certificate from Young Post. And the winner will be featured on our cover.
