Bringing together charity and the arts, the Hong Kong Ballet is supporting Habitat for Humanity in its Tai O restoration project and reconstruction project in Haiti with a benefit performance.

The performance, Brilliant Steps, part of Le French May Arts Festival, will take place on May 23 at the Cultural Centre's Grand Theatre.

The performance includes George Balanchine's Allegro Brillante, William Forsythe's Steptext, Krzysztof Pastor's In Light and Shadow and Pas de Deux from Le Corsaire by Nanette Glushak after Marius Petipa.

The Tai O project is improving waste management, introducing solar energy for stilt houses, and holding courses for families to help them better maintain their homes and to improve the area's sanitation.
