Work to upgrade and expand King George V School in Kowloon is due to start in February after the English Schools Foundation agreed on a HK$240 million funding package. The move, announced yesterday, is one of two school-building projects the ESF is funding through a HK$25,000 levy on new students. The ESF also said the government had agreed to provide HK$150 million of the HK$420 million cost of rebuilding Kowloon Junior School.
