Lee rolls top seed in semi-final

TOP seed Chris Santoso of Canada was knocked out of the boy's singles semi-finals at the Hong Kong Open Junior Championships at Victoria Park yesterday.
Santoso tumbled to a straight sets defeat at the hands of fourth-seeded Korean Lee Jeong-min who won 6-3, 7-5.
Lee will face Indonesian Andrian Raturandang in today's final. Raturandang overcame a first set loss to topple second seed Dominik Hrbaty in the other semi-final.
Seeded fifth, Raturandang won 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 to book his berth in the final which promises to be an interesting contrast in styles with the powerful Korean taking on the speedy Indonesian.
The girls' singles final, which will be played before the boys' final today, will be contested between Francesca La'o of the Philippines, the number one seed, and the Czech Republic's Ludmilla Varmuzova, the second seed. The duo combined yesterday to win the girls' doubles final, defeating Australians Jodi Richardson and Angela Lawrence 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.
Santoso's bad run continued when he lost the boys' doubles final. Combining with Nash Novak of Australia, the second seeds were beaten 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 by Koreans Lee Jeong-min and Chung Hee-sung.
