Grub: They've got everything here: it reads kebabs, pizza and curry on the front of the shop, but they also have burgers, pasta and rice dishes, fish and chips, jacket potatoes and salads.

Vibe: The restaurant has a 'fast food' feel to it. You place your order at the counter and pay at the same time. Then sit and wait while the food is prepared. If the waiters are busy, you might need to go up and get it. The jukebox kept playing music while we were there, so there was no need to put any money in it.

Who to bring: Bring all your friends. With a menu as varied as this, you could please just about everyone. The more people you bring, the more food you can share.

What's hot: It's always good to find reasonably priced alternatives to the big pizza places. At Jojo's, the pizzas are 10 or 14 inches in diameter and are thin-crusted. But that is where the tradition ends. The original Jojo's Mess, an Indian restaurant in Wan Chai, has long been famous for chicken tikka. Here it finds its way onto a pizza along with onions. Kebab meat is also given the pizza treatment.

Both are tempting, but the Four Seasons has an inexplicable pull. The toppings on a Four Seasons seem to vary quite a lot from venue to venue. In this instance, it includes Cajun spiced chicken, fresh spinach, roast potato and mushrooms topped with a Thai-style sweet chilli sauce and sour cream. Most yummy indeed, though they did overdo the chilli on a couple of slices but it was easily removed. To build your own pizza, start with a special that allows up to five toppings of your choice. We had a 14 inch, but a 10-inch is probably enough for two to share.

We also had a lamb doner kebab. It was a good enough kebab, though not outstanding. I have to confess we were both so full of pizza that we'd rather lost interest.

What's not: It would have been nice to see something more than the usual canned soda to complement the varied dishes.

Cost: The pastas and 10-inch pizzas cost HK$70-HK$80; a 14-inch pizza costs HK$90-HK$100. Indian dishes range from HK$40-HK$60, kebabs and burgers from HK$48-HK$62.
