The Hong Kong women's team are one step away from finishing top of their group at the world team championships in Moscow, after they recorded a 3-1 victory over highly fancied South Korea in group C yesterday. It was double happiness for Hong Kong as the men's team finished first in group D after defeating Austria 3-1. Although they lost to Belarus 3-1 later the day, it did not affect their top ranking with four wins and one defeat in the group stage. They now advance to the quarter-finals. The Hong Kong women only need to beat fifth-placed Ukraine today to finish top of their group for an automatic berth in the quarter-finals.
