It's time to turn back time and hop, jump, slice and dice your way through Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The game is designed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

The story takes place before the events in 2008's Prince of Persia. A young prince visits his brother's kingdom and finds the palace under siege.

His brother uses the ancient power of the sand in a last-ditch effort to save the kingdom.

Game play is much the same as in the previous titles - a lot of running up and along walls, and crossing seemingly impassible chasms. The prince has some new powers, including elemental attacks such as fire and ice moves. These come in handy when you come across the evil undead.

These functions can be unlocked by gaining 'Ability' points that can be used in an options menu.

There is also a rewind function that lets you go back a few seconds in time - handy if you are prone to dying a lot.

As for graphics, the game has some stunning FMV sequences, especially the opening movie. But there are noticeable ups and downs in the graphics quality throughout the game.

Overall, this game is one of the best ones in the series - it is a marked improvement over the last one. Definitely worth getting.
