Hong Kong men and women into last eight

Hong Kong women's team have secured five consecutive wins to reach the quarter-finals of the World Team Championships in Moscow. Despite resting two top players, Jiang Huajun and Tie Yana, Hong Kong beat Ukraine 3-0 in their final group C match yesterday through Lau Sui-fei, Zhang Rui and Yu Kwok-see. Hong Kong, who stunned the group's top seeds South Korea, play the winners of the match between Germany and Romania in the last eight. In the men's quarter-finals, Hong Kong - top of group D - face Japan, who qualified by beating Austria 3-0.
