Trainer Andy Leung Ting-wah was yesterday fined HK$75,000 by the Jockey Club stewards after an inquiry into an incident involving Fairwood Crown on May 7. Leung was found guilty of a breach of Rule 150 after declared starter Fairwood Crown was presented twice that day for an official veterinary examination. The horse had failed the first examination by club vet Dr Brian Stewart which meant he could not run on the following day at Sha Tin. He was presented a second time, to Dr Horace Lam, without the vet being informed of the first exam or its result.
