A set of stamps to be issued by Hongkong Post this month will take a nostalgic look at six characteristic streets in the city.

The stamps, designed by Gideon Lai, a graphic designer, and printed in lithography by a French company, feature snapshots of Pottinger Street, Nathan Road, Hollywood Road, Temple Street, Des Voeux Road West and Stanley Market.

The stamps have face values of HK$1.40, HK$2.40 and HK$3 and will go on sale on June 24. They will be displayed at the General Post Office and post offices in Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin. Advance orders will be accepted from Thursday. Each customer will be limited to buying 250 stamps of each denomination. First-day covers are available.

Two souvenirs will also be launched: a three-dimensional street scene diorama, and a set of mobile phone straps and key chains with plates that show the street scenes.
