Man's arm chopped off in robbery attempt

A Hong Kong resident's arm was chopped off in a robbery in Guangdong province. He returned to the city via the Lok Ma Chau border checkpoint and was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin. The man, 44, was in serious condition last night. He said a robber armed with a knife attacked him in a flat in Huidong county and cut off his left forearm. Hong Kong police are investigating.
