Office party gets a makeover
People tend to think of big functions when it comes to holding staff activities. In fact, there are many simple things bosses can do to boost morale. Baat Gwaa attended one rather atypical office party held at a pole dancing studio. Way to go!
'If you've been feeling tense at work, what better way to relax than having a burning-hot pole dance session,' says Lilian, who invited Baat Gwaa to the event.
Fun staff activities can definitely make the office a happier place. Employee morale can impact productivity and directly affect the quality of the service you provide. Therefore, it's vital to ensure that your staff feel happy.
'A sense of gloom and doom in the workplace can be infectious, but so can laughter. So, why not spread more laughter in the office?' Lilian says.
Her human resources company holds quarterly staff activities as part of office team-building exercises. In the past, they have even had a belly-dancing training session, which was well attended by men and women.
'Forget about after-work drinks and junk trips. Office parties should be different because they are meant to help staff break from the daily mundane schedules,' she adds.
