Two cases of legionnaires' disease involving men aged 60 and 63 were reported yesterday, bringing the total number of cases this year to 14. The 60-year-old had a chronic illness and visited the mainland from June 4 to 5. He developed fever, chills and shortness of breath about a week after his return. He is in stable condition in hospital. The 63-year-old, who had a good health record and no recent travel history, developed pneumonia symptoms on June 9. He is undergoing treatment in hospital and is also in a stable condition. Thirty-seven cases of legionnaires' disease were reported last year.
