Man has his own Time on the stage

Though there was little left on the bone for anyone by the time Caspar Fownes had been through the card, the boom season for Manfred Man Ka-leung continued with My Time, surely an omen tip for jockey Brett Prebble's day. Prebble was aboard when the gelding ran a strong second to Windicator Returns at the Valley two runs ago and said there had been real excuses when the five-year-old was a beaten favourite last start. 'When we came out of the gates, another runner hit him sideways and bumped him very hard,' Prebble said. 'He was wide after that which never helps but the combination made him look pretty ordinary. Today I was very confident from the good gate - he's better than a Class Four horse in terms of ability but his legs are feeling a bit of wear and tear.' My Time was Man's 41st winner for the season and cements him in fifth place.
