Microsoft sees strong demand for Office 2010

Lenovo

Microsoft Corp expects strong consumer and business interest to drive sales of its new Office 2010 productivity suite, which was officially released yesterday in Hong Kong after months in beta tests. The software giant said three versions of its updated Office product, now available in about 35,000 retail stores worldwide, can be bought pre-loaded in personal computers from partners such as Lenovo Group, Dell and Hewlett-Packard. It estimated more than 100 million personal computers would ship with Office 2010 next year. More than one billion PCs worldwide now have Office software installed, according to marketing research firm comScore.
