Six people were killed and nine injured on an amusement park ride in Shenzhen last week.
They were riding on Space Journey,  a spacecraft simulation ride, at the Evoventure Valley  amusement part in the OCT East complex.  The accident happened  when the 11 cabins holding four passengers each were about to land. 
'All of a sudden, the cabins were turned upside down, and passengers started to fall,' one witness said. 'Not even their safety belts could hold them.' 
 The accident may have been caused by the equipment scraping the ground during the ride.
