Hongkong Electric workers upset over pay policy change

Hongkong Electric workers are up in arms over a change in company policy to adjust their pay according to individual performance instead of referring to the inflation rate as in the past. They said they had not been consulted about the change and demanded the old practice be kept. They are also unhappy about another policy change where those working at the Lamma plant are only allowed to go home when the No 8 typhoon signal is issued, instead of the No 3 signal.
