The title of Francis Xavier Pasion's 2008 film refers to two similarly named individuals - a recently murdered gay teacher and a television producer trying to make a documentary of the victim's story.

A dark satire about the dehumanising nature of modern mass media, the Filipino director's film is a damning critique of the blurring of fact and fiction - and the notion of life as consumable theatre. In Filipino with English subtitles.

Jay, July 9, 7.30pm, Agnes b. Cinema, Arts Centre. Free admission, reservations at 28238534, 28238536.
