IT appears that Jean-Michel Jarre's bold decision to go ahead with his recent concert at the troubled new Hong Kong Stadium, despite the problems he faced, hasn't gone unnoticed at the Elysee Palace. The current edition of Le Moniteur reports that Jarre has been raised to the rank of Chevalier in the Legion of Honour (communication category). The notification is dated April 1, so we can't be sure if this is some sort of poisson d'avril.
