The six largest coffee shop chains in town have formed the Green Cafe Alliance to discourage waste. Pacific Coffee, Starbucks, agnes b. le pain grille, Caffe Habitu, McCafe and Pret A Manger will ask customers at their combined 300 branches to think twice before using disposable cutlery. They will also encourage people to bring their own drinking tumblers. The campaign is organised by the Environmental Protection Department.
