Corrections & clarifications

Thursday's report, 'Democrats are weakening HK, tycoon says', on page A14 misquoted Ronnie Chan Chichung as saying: 'In 1890, the US had only 36 million people, in the 1960s, it had 63 million.' The quote should have read: 'In 1890, the US had only 36 million people; in the 1900s, it had 63 million.' The name of his company, Hang Lung Properties, was also misspelled.

Thursday's report, 'Henderson Land and law firm raided', on page A1 wrongly attributed the second of the following two sentences to Commissioner of Police Tang King-shing: The police commissioner said several people had been invited to assist with the investigation, without revealing names. He said the bureau had obtained search warrants and raided several locations, including offices of the developer and the law firm in Central, at which documents were seized.
