Hong Kong coach Tony Choi Yuk-kwan praised his squad despite their defeat in the World University Championships team final in Melbourne yesterday. Hong Kong had to settle for silver after losing 2-1 to top seeds Britain. Women's individual champion Annie Au Wing-chi gave Hong Kong a flying start by beating Emma Chorley 3-0, but her younger brother Leo Au Chun-ming and Chiu Ho-fai were defeated by men's individual champion Joel Hinds (3-2) and Peter Creed (3-0), respectively. 'They have done a great job by reaching the final,' Choi said.
