Questionnaires in 10 languages - including Nepali and Indonesian - will be prepared for interviews with households of ethnic minorities during a population census that will be conducted in the middle of next year. Ethnic minority households can also request an interpreter to accompany the census officer to do the interview. About 340,000 people, or roughly 5 per cent of the population, in Hong Kong belong to ethnic minority groups.
