Study on drug testing scheme due

A study on the effectiveness of the pilot school drug testing scheme in Tai Po will be completed in the third quarter, Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee Siu-kwong said yesterday. A total of 1,975 pupils from 23 schools in Tai Po were screened by urine test in the past academic year in a voluntary scheme. None tested positive. Lee added that 50 social workers would be recruited to help young drug abusers this financial year, bringing the total number to 308.
