In the game, players can choose a range of match formats from Tests and one-day internationals to twenty20 tournaments.

Close-up shots give gamers a realistic view of the batting action.

It's also a thrilling sight to see a bowler deliver a 140km/h 'missile'. And it's all the sweeter when you hit such a delivery for a boundary or out of the grounds for a six.

The hawk-eye system is probably the coolest feature in the game. It has been included to show leg before wicket decisions and gives a detailed explanation as to why the batsman was given out or not.

The game also includes all other forms of technology used in real cricket match coverage, for example, the wagon wheel, which shows where a batsman has scored his runs. Naturally, the third umpire has his say in close decisions, too.

As players complete matches, they can unlock rewards and gain skill points. And satisfaction is guaranteed as each level becomes harder. Some of the prizes awaiting gamers are new stadiums and cricket gear like bats or pads.

When cricket games are released, gamers and critics are quick to point out the shortcomings. But for once it seems the designers have thought of everything. International Cricket 2010 is dead on target and allows cricket fans to experience the game in a whole new way.
