March 4: Chow Yuen-man, 87, is given the wrong body for cremation, instead of that of her husband following identity mix-up at Fu Shan Public Mortuary in Sha Tin. A month later barcode system is introduced

Dec 20: Yeung Fei-lung pleads with staff of Caritas Medical Centre to help his father who is having a heart attack. Staff tell him to call 999, but Yeung Tak-cheung, 56, collapses and dies on the doorstep
Dec 23: Hospital Authority chiefs offer apology to family, and Solomon stresses core role of hospital staff should be to save lives

July: Solomon announces resignation
