Two police officers appeared in Eastern Court yesterday on charges of perverting the course of justice and misconduct in public office. Sergeant Yeung Ka-ho, 33, and constable Chow Chi-ping, 35, did not enter pleas. They were witnesses in a criminal proceeding at District Court in June 2007. On the day Yeung was testifying, the pair discussed in a witness room how he should give further evidence. Magistrate Johnny Chan Jong-herng adjourned the case to August 6.
