OUTSIDE on Monday, the air temperature was 29 degrees, yet I sat at my desk in my surgery wearing a cardigan, a jacket, a tie and a heater, to keep me warm, as the air-conditioning blasted my office temperature down to shivering level.
I am a doctor and several of my patients have similar problems in their own offices and some of these attribute illness to excessive air-conditioning.
Health considerations aside does this, territory-wide, not represent a gross mis-use of resources? (that is, waste of electricity).
I would be interested in other readers' comments.
