Desserts take the cake

A restaurant, Serendipity 3, has launched two desserts in conjunction with jewellery store Euphoria New York.
The HK$7,800 Grand Opulence has to be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.
The sundae, served in a tall crystal cup, consists of three scoops of vanilla ice cream covered in 23-carat edible gold leaf.
This purse-busting dessert also has Parisien candied fruit, truffles and caviar.
The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate, at HK$195,000, is the most expensive dessert in the world. It has to be ordered two weeks in advance.
It is made of the most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porcelana and Chuao, and is embellished with fruits flown from Paris.
Diners get to enjoy this staggeringly expensive dessert with a 18-carat golden spoon. But they don't get to keep the spoon.
However, as a souvenir to prove the diners have more desire to show off than to exercise common sense, Serendipity 3 slips an 18-carat gold bracelet under each crystal glass.
