Fancy a game of polo? The new, high-end Camino Real Polo & Country Club development, just launched in Argentina, is being positioned as a world-class polo venue.
The developer has consulted top polo associations and famous polo players to design a facility which fully meets their sporting and leisure requirements.
But it's not just for horse enthusiasts, says Ella Sherman, of Worldwide Investments. 'It also stacks up as an investment since the popularity of polo is increasing rapidly, especially in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and the Philippines, and it has just started to take off in China, Indonesia and Thailand.'
Investors select their plot from the project map and the developer builds a bespoke luxury house - a 'magnificent country home set in spacious beautiful grounds'.
Plot sizes, ranging from 1,500 to 5,000 square metres, are priced from US$50,000 to US$150,000 depending on size, proximity to polo fields and whether or not they are on the lake.
Then their property is custom designed and built, with the cost varying, depending on the client's specification. The average cost is about US$1,000 per square metre. Sherman says early-bird investors can benefit from discounts.
