A large number of junior athletes came out to support Timmy Law Leung-tim at the men's triathlon at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore on Monday.
Timmy finished in 25th place but posted the third best time of all Asian athletes in the race.
The supporters, Hong Kong's junior triathlon elite, were very enthusiastic in their cheering.
'We work together with the coach to remind Timmy to keep his running posture correct and give him the latest updates on the rankings,' said Cheung Tsz-hei, a 16-year-old athlete with the team.
Vincci Hui wai-sum, 17, competed in the women's triathlon earlier, placing No 17.
The cheering and support proved to be inspiring for Timmy, 16. He posted a time of 58:55 - a personal best - finishing behind Cheng Ru from China and Lee Ji-hong from South Korea in the ranking of Asian athletes in the race. New Zealand's Aaron Barclay came first with a time of 54:41.
