Those who wish to learn a new language may consider learning sign language. The Hong Kong Sign Language Association has received HK$40,000 from the Equal Opportunities Commission to organise a series of workshops between October and December to promote the language. Wang Kai-fung, chairman of the association, said people can communicate with the hearing impaired if they learn 66 basic signs used in daily life.
