Warning over incorrect prescriptions

Doctors and pharmacists should double-check the dosage when prescribing drugs such as Warfarin, which controls the clotting of blood, Society of Hospital Pharmacists vice-president William Chui Chun-ming said yesterday. Patients should also be alert when the dosage is different from that usually prescribed. Chui made the comments after the death last week of a woman who took the wrong dose of Warfarin.
