HK's brand new centre of attraction
A brand new grade-A office tower has sprung up in Quarry Bay, providing 25 floors of high-grade office space for local, mainland and multinational companies.
Kerry Centre, being built by Kerry Properties, is a commercial redevelopment on a 34,078 sqft site at 683 King's Road. It was bought by Kerry Properties in 2006.
Although the Kerry Centre offers 25 office floors, less than half of the space will be available for lease. According to the developer, the Kerry Group will occupy 13 floors of the building, while the remaining 12 floors from Level 6 to Level 19, with a total area of about 204,000 sqft, will be available for rent.
A spokesman for Kerry Properties says the group is confident the centre will attract tenants thanks to the continuing economic recovery, which is leading to a steady demand for quality accommodation. In addition, there is a shortage of grade-A office space in Eastern district.

Kerry Centre, designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox, is drawing additional market attention to the sought-after office leasing market in Quarry Bay.
However, Kerry Properties remained tight-lipped on the leasing progress for the building. According to the developer, the building demonstrates a high level of environmental performance and has achieved a provisional Platinum Rating under the Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method accreditation system. In addition to 25 office floors, the 520,000 sqft development provides one floor of dining options and four levels of car parking spaces at the basement.
Each office floor will have a lettable area of about 17,000 sqft.

Kerry Centre is located within three minutes' walk from the Quarry Bay MTR station and is comprehensively served by public transport. The spokesman says the building provides ample car parking spaces, while the extensive and efficient transport network allows tenants and visitors to travel to and from other major business districts conveniently.
Regarding the building's specifications, the Kerry Centre uses the advanced variable air-volume central air-conditioning system, with carbon-dioxide detection devices. The building is clad with low-e, double glazing reflective curtain walls and boasts a floor-to-floor height of 4.2 metres, and a 150mm raised floor area, with 14 high-speed passenger lifts serving two office zones.
