82-year-old man dies while hiking

An 82-year-old man died after collapsing while hiking in Pat Sin Leung Country Park in the New Territories yesterday. He set off with friends at Nam Chung on Luk Keng Road, Sha Tau Kok, at about 9.30am but complained of feeling unwell. Friends sought help from a Civil Aid Service officer, who called police at 11.45am. The man was airlifted to hospital in Chai Wan but declared dead shortly after 1pm.
