'He is a young horse with a future'

Me Tsui Yu-sak might have thrown out a curly question to trial watchers before the Chengdu Handicap (1,200m), but My Glory's easy win confirmed the trainer had the right answer. My Glory (Howard Cheng Yue-tin) had raced well for fourth in his only two-year-old appearance and returned to the public eye with an impressive trial win down the straight recently - in blinkers. But they were left off yesterday before My Glory gave a modest Class Four field a galloping lesson in the second event. 'The blinkers did what was needed in the trial, but I didn't want to use them today because I didn't want My Glory to be too keen,' he said. 'That was a nice win and he is a young horse with a future, but it was a very weak field. The second horse, Cristal Magnum, won off a 49-rating last time and he has still beaten the other horses again today and we know he is nothing special.'
