The fashion outlets at Horizon Plaza carry clothes and accessories from a broad range of top international names such as Armani and United States-label Juicy Couture, with most end-of-season items of these upscale brands available at a fraction of the original prices.

Pompei Warehouse, on the 22nd floor at Horizon Plaza, is one such outlet offering designer labels galore. The 7,000 sqft retail shop stocks such top labels as Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace. Items are clearly grouped by designer label and run the gamut from designer stockings to clothes and fashion accessories.

'We stock over 10,000 items. They include those from the [previous] season and some are the designers' latest products. All items are available at a discount of up to 70 per cent,' says Sammi Chau of Pompei.

One of Pompei's main attractions is that it stocks unique items that are unavailable even at local authorised retailers. 'We have motorcycle helmets from Prada, dog collars from Gucci and bibs for babies by Fendi,' Chau says.

Joyce Boutique, Lane Crawford, and I.T. are among the city's other top fashion outlets carrying multiple brands.

While most fashion outlets at Horizon Plaza sell end-of-season items, A.U.N (all you need) Fashion, on the 27th floor of the building, focuses on the latest designs from two European brands and one from America.

A.U.N is the exclusive local retailer for New York-based Hilton Hollis, Fever in London and Alchemist in the Netherlands.

'Our clothes are for women in all age groups from 20 years up,' says Pauline Tong, owner of A.U.N Fashion. Items on offer include simple blouses, skirts and jackets for everyday wear to more elaborate designs for special occasions.

While Hilton Hollis is not a household name here, the designer's clientele list in the US includes such names as Oprah Winfrey, Gabrielle Anwar and Jane Fonda, Tong says.

'Hilton Hollis's clothes [emphasise] the cutting, and [ensuring a] flattering fit for the wearers,' Tong says. 'His items feature upscale European natural materials ideal for the climate in Hong Kong.'

Tong says that most items can be mixed and matched.

'The wearer can effortlessly transform them from an executive look to cocktail wear with some accessories,' she says.

Fever is a label aimed at younger women and features vintage-print dresses that have been redesigned for a contemporary look. The label's collection includes coats, jackets, skirts and trousers, tunics and tops. A.U.N Fashion stocks some silk blouses designed by the avant-garde Netherlands-based brand Alchemist, Tong says. She says the shop will soon bring in the label's collection of sculptural, monochromatic knitwear for autumn and winter.
