Daniel Aboye claimed the men's overall title in the inaugural New Balance Tai Mei Tuk 10K race yesterday morning. The Ethiopian completed a gun-to-tape victory in 34 minutes and 58 seconds. Times were generally slow because of a strong cross wind on Plover Cove dam. Choi Tat-ming took second place (35:29) and Lai Ki-ho was third (35:32). Veteran Angelina Kong also clinched a gun-to-tape victory in the women's race, finishing more than a minute clear of former Hong Kong marathon representative Leong Yuen-fan, who ran 42:45.
